New Exhibit Open
To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the start of the Great War, the museum opened a new exhibit that tells the stories of the experiences of both the area's soldiers and the families back home, from Flander's field to the fields of Murray County. This exhibit features artifacts and memorabilia from the county's war veterans, and items and stories from the home front where everyone was asked to do their part to help the "Boy's over there." A hands on history corner will give visitors an opportunity to try on a vintage metal flack helmet and try their hand at wrapping their legs with puttees.
A list of all World War One veterans from the county is available for family research.
Dinehart Holt House Tours Available whenever the museum is open.
